OCD Exposure Therapy

Day 4 of my OCD challenges and today is another day of walking alone around where I live. So I went to the forest, the railway gates and walked up the main road which is really scary for me. It wasn’t easy I stopped a few times to breathe but i did it. I survived. I still got horrific intrusive thoughts but I survived! Tomorrow I am walking up along a main road and shopping which will be another challenge for me and Wednesday I’m going to try and walk to the bus by myself and go into town. This might not sound like much but when you have been stuck avoiding everything for years and doing stuff with someone with you all the time it’s just nice to have some freedom and challenge the anxiety that constantly says bad things will happen. I have a long way to go, but it’s a start. Xoxo
