The colour of shadows. I was fortunate enough to win a copy of this book via Readers First…

Review: Firstly I found the character of saffy hard to like, I did though like the character Tom and kept reading to find out more about Tom’s story. I found the start of the book hard to get in to and it was a bit slow for me but it picked up in the middle and the ending was lovely . It’s a book that makes you think and that touches on important issues and problems in society, it tackles tough subjects including homelessness and grooming and drugs and alcohol abuse. I’d give this book a 2.5 star review. I managed to finish the colour of shadows in one evening and I didn’t want to give up until I found out how the story ends and I was satisfied with the ending, the book did make me feel a lot of emotions and I’m glad it tackled tough subjects. Overall thought this hasn’t been one of my favourite books of this year but I have it a go and I’m glad I did. Xoxo
